Will we be able to have the wedding ceremony on the beach? Most couples prefer to have the ceremony to take place on the beach. Our partner resorts will be able to accommodate you for a beach wedding. What happens if it rains on our wedding day? Should your invitation to Mother Nature have gotten lost in the post and she shares her frustration with you the resort will be able to accommodate you under roof at their entertainment area. If we opt for the legal marriage option on Zanzibar, will we be viewed as legally married in accordance with the South African law? Yes, you will be legally married with all the privileges of a married couple. On your return from Zanzibar you will just need to take your documentation to the South African Home Affairs in order to change your South African & ID Documents status to confirm the marriage. We urge you to make an appointment with a marriage lawyer in order to get your prenuptial agreement finalized in South Africa. Some couples prefer to have all the legal paperwork done before the ceremony and then to only have a “mock” wedding/exchange of vow ceremony on Zanzibar. Who will be handling the details of our trip to Zanzibar and the wedding and will I be part of this so that I can feel comfortable with all the arrangements? Your wedding package and your travel package will be handled separately by Dream World Adventures. The first step will be for us to ensure that all your travel components (flights & accommodation at the resort) are available for the dates that you want the ceremony to take place. All requirements in order to finalize your trip will be communicated to you in detail. Once we have your travel package booked and in
place we can start working on your wedding ceremony.
